On february 28th many people of Andeva (french association) with the support of two delegation from Belgium (abeva) and Casale (Afeva) gathered in front of the Palais de justice of Paris demanding a fair process against asbestos industries. At a public meeting which took place today (February 12, 2013) in Bangkok the Thai language version of the IBAS monograph entitled Eternit and the Great Asbestos Trial was released just days before the appeal proceedings are due to begin in the Turin courthouse. It was a year ago that we waited together in the Turin courthouse for the verdict. I remember the tension and the nervousness; all of us hopeful but wary of what was to come. When the verdict was announced, however, we felt great joy in realizing that after so many years and so much heartache, an astounding victory had been achieved.
